Twitter Set To Delete Inactive Accounts In December

Twitter users who have created accounts on the platform but left these accounts dormant for a pretty long time will lose the accounts very soon as the company is set to delete all dormant accounts.

As part of our twitter’s commitment to serve the public conversation, twitter will to clean up inactive information people can trust across Twitter. Part of this effort is to encourage people to actively log-in and use Twitter when they register an account, as stated in our Inactive Accounts Policy. We have begun proactive outreach to many accounts who have not logged into Twitter in over six months to inform them that their accounts may be permanently removed due to prolonged inactivity.”

Just in case you don’t know, Twitter has an inactive account policy in place, but have not been really doing much to enforcement.

But all that is about to change as the company is now giving users a heads up asking them to at least, log in and make a tweet every six months. By December 11 Twitter is gonna be removing all inactive accounts.
